The Corvette Z06 is rare that single model versions coexist with chassis and other steel frame with aluminum.
In addition to profiles of aluminum, magnesium has a subchasis (lighter than aluminum equal resistance) to accommodate the engine and part of the front suspension. It has used carbon fibre in the front fins and a combination of this with balsa wood for the floor of the passengers.
